The Why of Poor Performance
Reasons for taking an ineffective approach:
- We have not been trained to do it properly.
- We don't have sufficient resources.
- This isn't a high priority.
- It's more convenient to do it this way.
- We've always done it this way.
- We have to battle bureaucracy to perform the job well..
- If we did it any differently people would think we are strange.
- We believe this way is best even though it doesn't achieve the goal.
- We are punished if we do it correctly.
- We don't care.
