"The First Circle"

Anderson Layman's Blog has some lines from Solzhenitsyn's "The First Circle."

I often think of the book's ending, which is the equivalent of a stomach punch. It is a grand reminder of how totalitarian regimes think.

"The First Circle" stands alongside "Darkness at Noon" and similar works.
