People often make a macro to-do list of the big things they want to accomplish.
Such lists usually include the specific actions they will take to achieve those goals.
But let's inject some reality: a section listing the things they are likely to do that will keep them from achieving those goals.
Each day should include an assessment of progress and how successful they were at avoiding self-sabotage.
Call it a to-do and not-to-do list.
