The chamber of commerce folks in Palm Springs are being criticized for their new slogan:
"Give in to the desert. You're surrounded."
I have to admit, that's not a very inviting slogan. Some alternatives:
"Embrace the rattlesnake. It's your neighbor."
"Come, golf, and count the vultures."
"It only feels like it's a thousand degrees."
Any others?
