Corporate anthropologist Karen Stephenson's analysis of hidden organization charts is interesting and helpful, but hardly new. I recall discussing such systems in when I was in the Army in the seventies.
Her recommendation of considering the information hubs is a nifty way to pinpoint choke and dissemination points.
