- The CEO pops in on at the beginning of equal opportunity training, talks about how important it is, and then leaves after five minutes.
- The rest of the executive team doesn’t attend any of the training because they feel the message is really for the closet bigots in middle and first-line management.
- Financial contributions are given to any shake-down artist who extorts money in the name of civil rights.
- Executives use expressions such as “walk the talk” when conversing with minorities.
- Trainers tell male blue collar workers that women can handle the pressure of any nontraditional job, but will fall apart if someone tells a dirty knock-knock joke.
- There are company-sponsored diversity committees for every conceivable group and each one has grievances.
- People leave diversity training more divided than they were when they walked in the door.
- The EEO/AA/Diversity offices are regarded as dumping grounds for incompetents.
- Management talks "goals" but (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) uses "quotas."
