Losing Your Chains

What do you think is needed for your advancement?

Are you waiting for someone to give you something because, after all, it's only fair and you're such a fine person? [They are thinking about you, aren't they?]

Are you hoping the government will do something that might cause another something to affect still something else which might just lead to an improvement in your area so you can get some yet-to-be-named benefit? [The politicians talk of that happening any day now and we know what altruists they are.]

Or do you realize that the best thing you can do for your advancement is to lose the chains that, a la Ebenezer Scrooge, you've been forging for years? The worry that you might fail or be embarrassed or lose some control or be less than perfect can keep you permanently on the outskirts of what can be a hell of a lot of fun.

Lose your chains and you will begin to feel alive.
