7 Bits of Unsolicited Advice for Political Candidates

  1. Do your homework.
  2. Don't fall into blind advocacy for your side.
  3. Give yourself time to think.
  4. Remember that others can disagree with you and not be evil or corrupt.
  5. Understate your case.
  6. Don't talk down to us.
  7. Campaign in such a way that if you win office you'll deserve to be in it.

It's too bad that the only candidates who actually follow this advice to the letter are the same ones deemed "unelectable" by the mainstream media...
