This is very sad news.
Eclecticity, one of the most interesting blogs anywhere, has called it a wrap. This is understandable. Blogging often resembles shouting into the dark night and not knowing if anyone has heard you.
I just hope Doug (a.k.a. The Big E) knows that he has done excellent work and has been heard. His efforts have always been deeply appreciated. He deserves our best wishes.
Aargh.
