Writing Tips

  1. Don't write when you are in a bad mood.
  2. Slow down.
  3. Carefully re-read before sending.
  4. Assume that it will be read by others.
  5. Never write on a sensitive subject. Call or visit the other person.
  6. Watch your tone.
  7. Look out for language that may be misunderstood.
  8. Be particularly cautious with sarcasm.
  9. If you sense any concern about a word or a sentence, take it out.
  10. Put yourself in the shoes of the recipient.

Good tips. Everyone should have this handy for review before posting or hitting send. Nothing worse than a misunderstanding over emotionally driven remarks. Thanks!
