Ford and GM ought to focus purely on quality from here on out. If they end up as the world's largest automobile manufacturer in the process so be it. They've been so focused on size that they consistently produce low quality junk, and it has finally caught up to them and is now biting them in the ass.

Toyota and Honda focus on quality, and look where they are today.

Lesson for Ford & GM: less expensive isn't better--it's just cheaper.

Of course, Renault is probably way behind Ford and GM on quality but I believe it gets government subsidies.
