A Real Meeting

"I saw the agenda for the meeting."

"Yes?"

"Is it going to be a regular meeting or a real meeting?"

"Define 'real meeting.'"

"One in which we talk about a certain major subject that people have been reluctant to address."

"I know which subject you mean. I intend to bring it up at the beginning."

"That doesn't mean people will talk about it."

"I know. That's why there will be a ground rule. Everyone will have to give an opinion on the topic. No sitting silently and then badmouthing the results later. No passing. Everyone will have to commit."

"Do you think they will give honest opinions?"

"That's another story."
