Management Insight from the Politicos
Most books by politicians or political appointees are so self-serving or poorly-written that they don't deserve your time. Not surprisingly, they rarely contain insight which can be helpful to managers. Here are some exceptions:

I'd also suggest Nixon's book, Leaders. It's a bit uneven, but the profiles are generally sharp and don't seem to be covered anywhere else.

That's an excellent choice!
My copy walked out of the house a few years back and I need to retrieve it. Nixon wrote several memorable chapters but lately I've been thinking of the one on Lee Kuan Yew. We need more leaders with his insight.
