Admissions

The complacent don't admit that they are complacent. Appeasers don't admit they are appeasing. The abusive are "just being a little strict." Incompetents always have plenty of excuses.

Don't expect people to admit their flaws. In many instances, they sincerely believe they are innocent of such allegations. When countered with an incontrovertible example, they'll assert it was someone else's fault or a rare lapse.

The cause of their problems is always "out there."

That belief can be their biggest problem.
