Items for a Good Day

Thank God. Have less food. Get more sleep. Savor a great cup of coffee. Write at least one thank-you note. Reduce or eliminate any exposure to television. Decide not to take offense at any perceived slights. Take a side road. Read some poetry. Consider the advice which you'd give a close friend in your situation. Be grateful for the good people in your life. Perform a minor chore slowly and well. Study the trees. Check the direction of the wind. Listen for the unspoken. Help someone. Gain a bit of knowledge which will be with you ten years from now. Talk to a dog or cat. Study a map. Listen to Mozart or Beethoven. Find a new word. Do something bold or generous which no one else will know. Rest assured that you matter far more than you realize.
