"Get Shorty" is irresistible. Elmore Leonard's screenplay is a jewel. I can't help watching at least some of this movie when flipping channels and it appears. Thanks for the link.
I agree...you might also like Guy Ritchie's "Snatch." Dennis Farina is in both movies. I miss Farina. He played the perfect mob guy and died too young. I must correct myself about "Get Shorty": Scott Frank wrote the "Get Shorty" screenplay. Elmore Leonard wrote the novel.
Glad you treated yourself to "Snatch." Perhaps you could blog post the trailer for it? Jason Statham is a favorite, but Brad Pitt's gypsy character steals this show.

I think that in terms of screenplay, casting, and acting, it is very close to a perfect movie.

I have seen "Snatch" and enjoyed it. You are right about Dennis Farina. He went far too soon.
I'm glad you mentioned Scott Frank. I read the Elmore Leonard novel and, as good as it was, the film was better.
