Closet Nappers Unite!

Ann Althouse explores the subject of napping and concludes that, yea, it is good.
She is, of course, correct since sleep is one of the great pleasures of life, in the same league with chocolate.

I've been a napper since I was a teenager. I've learned that I'm much more productive if I devote the afternoon to work that doesn't require lots of thought and if I insert a short (20 minutes or so) nap in there as well. I usually have a nip of caffeine before the nap since it takes 20 minutes for the caffeine to kick in. One of the wonderful things about working for myself is that I can nap every day, more than once if I choose. Sometimes it's the only way to break a mental logjam.

Wally,

I'm a real believer in naps. It's amazing how quickly even a ten minute nap can recharge the brain. Churchill used a regular nap as a way to gain the strength to put two work days into one.
