Commentary by Michael Wade on Leadership, Ethics, Management, and Life
Very interesting. I wonder if there could be similar posts for why others went into their professions. Why law, Michael?
Pawnking,That path is even stranger. Since early childhood, I wanted to be a lawyer but three years of law school effectively squelched that enthusiasm. I got hooked on management while serving in the headquarters of the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command in Washington, D.C. My responsibilities there concerned handling discrimination issues and that focus/passion continued after I left the military and exists to this day. It led to jobs in municipal government and eventually to management consulting. In other words, not a straight shot.
