When it comes to management and leadership issues, the thinkers who impress me the most are those who reveal things that, although previously unnoticed, have been in front of my face.
You can read their work and think, "I've seen that. Why didn't I notice its significance?"
Three reasons for the myopia:
- The item was accepted as a natural, unchangeable, part of reality.
- We were distracted by ancillary matters.
- We were looking for the exotic or complicated.
