At the Car Repair Shop

I devoted a chunk of this mid-morning waiting for a mechanic to fix my car's air conditioning. [When your air conditioner goes kaput in Phoenix in the summer, you don't procrastinate on getting it repaired.]

Fortunately, I brought along plenty of work and - Lord be praised - no one had a television on in the waiting room so I was able to make some serious progress on marketing items as well as a leadership workshop that I'm revising. I also finished reading a book about Apple.

It was time well spent as well as a reminder that a few projects should always be close at hand. Some of our best thinking takes place in unlikely places.

It may even be helped by the faint aroma of transmission fluid.

I could not imagine myself thinking clearly with the aroma of the transmission fluid in the vicinity. Anyway, kudos to you for doing necessary tasks while waiting for the aircon repair job. Times like this should not go to waste just by sitting or watching TV.
