  • "It's for the children."
  • "I'm not selling anything."
  • "We're the only advanced nation that doesn't have . . . ."
  • "There is a consensus that  . . . "
  • "It's a temporary program."

My first quick read of the title was "Lies to Question"...perhaps of some validity, but I'll try to keep that to myself when I hear any of them again.

"If I do it for you..." reminds me of a fantastic talk by Andy Stanley of Northpoint Church in Atlanta. He teaches on the principle of: Do for one what you wish you could do for everyone. The whole talk is very good, but he reveals the principle at 11:14 of this video -
