"He Was There"

This post at Cultural Offering is an example of why I read that blog every morning. Kurt Harden, his family, and his friends are reminders of the importance of lives well lived. They give me hope for the future of this country. An excerpt:

He taught two very important and non-contradictory lessons at the same time.  Time is important and so are people.  He never wasted time and I don’t ever remember him wasting our time.  He was there for a reason and we were one of those reasons.  He clearly understood this.

Take a few minutes and read the entire essay.
