An Alarm Bell Rings

Add also: There's no time to do it right, we'll just do *this lame thing* and get back to it later.

To which the reasonable response is: If you don't have time to do it right now, what makes you think you'll have time to do it right later?

Followup question at some later date (when they went ahead with above lame thing): So how's that working out for you? Assuming of course that you've already been paid and have since become independently wealthy :-)

Good points.

There is a tendency in some organizations to go with fake action instead of real action. It is as if having an alibi is more important than producing results.
