I had to go out of town yesterday for a meeting. It was a one day trip. No luggage was necessary. I even carried the same briefcase that I do when going to my office or visiting nearby clients.
The dog knew.
My wife and I both noticed. Our dog goes into Sad Dog Mode whenever either of us leaves town. We've tried to identify any signals but have been unable to find even a remote possibility.
The same thing occurred with our previous dog. Two different breeds. Two different personalities. One male and one female.
The dog knows.
