Best Nonfiction of 2014?

At Marginal Revolution, Tyler Cowen gives his list of the best nonfiction books of 2014. The post also has a link to his list of the best fiction of 2014.

Two books [both came out before 2014] which I've recently started and am enjoying:
  • Titan: The Life of John D. Rockefeller, Sr.  by Ron Chernow
  • On Looking: Eleven Walks with Expert Eyes by Alexandra Horowitz

Reading Isaacson's "The Innovators" right now and it deserves its spot on the list! Challenges my lack of basic computer knowledge but very fascinating all the same!

Bob,

Thanks for mentioning that. I'll check it out.

Finally finished reading Titan: The Life of John D. Rockefeller, Sr. by Ron Chernow. Great book! I only wish I had your ability to focus on my reading.

Vince,

Isn't that an extraordinary book?

My focus on reading is vastly over-rated. I have stacks of neglected books.
