The Used Bookstore Fix

My one nod to Black Friday was to visit a used bookstore in my neighborhood. It has been run by one family for years and they do a grand job of finding and organizing an excellent assortment of books.

My wife and I decided to turn our daughter's old bedroom into a rather spartan-looking library. Right now it has large tables which hold the overflow from our bookshelves but our plan is to keep a few of the tables and move in the sort of metal book racks that you see in public libraries. The idea is to get the maximum amount of book storage from a small amount of space.

The room won't be featured in Architectural Digest but it will be highly functional. As I sort through the inventory a large To Go stack will be created.

Where will those books go?

Back to the used bookstore. The bookstore's family and I have an informal arrangement and, as with many addicts, my role is both user and supplier.
