A Productive Meeting

A library hideaway in Tempe. Time to redraft a coaching proposal and flesh out some thoughts on a retainer agreement before going upstairs to meet with the board of a nonprofit group. A few people would be calling in from Tucson, Flagstaff, and Kingman and a fund-raising consultant would be attending.

Afterwards I wondered why everything clicked. One theory is that experience - hard experience - paid off. Everyone knows what works and what doesn't. There were no detours and all of the ideas were worthy. External challenges removed the usual turf wars. An outsider was present so we were on our best behavior.

It was time well-spent.
