Differences

An adult is not an old child. Your country is not merely a place where you happen to live. A school is not a booth for punching tickets. Opinions are not the same as facts. Knowledge is not the same as wisdom. The government is not the same as the people who elect its members. The law is not whatever we'd like it to be. A team is not merely a group of individuals. A promise is not the same as an idle hope. Legal does not mean ethical. A job should not be confused with a vocation. Love is not simply really, really, like. Good intentions don't outweigh good results. Friends are not mere acquaintances. The police are not the equivalent of the criminals. Spontaneity does not equal creativity. A deadline is not a wish. A plan is not a desire. Bravery is not rashness. Cowardice is not caution. Kindness is not weakness. Talking is not action. And the world is marvelous but it is not here to serve us.
