Charles J. Sykes, writing in The Weekly Standard, describes a hoax where, by adopting standard grievance industry language, the hoaxers were able to trick academic journals into publishing a variety of phony studies.
The "dog park rape culture " paper was perhaps too easy. My favorite in where the hoaxers altered an excerpt from Mein Kampf.
It was published in a feminist journal.
