Writing Your Personal Management Guide

You think you'll never forget the insights that come from extraordinary experiences or projects but you will. If you are in any sort of management position it can help to keep a journal or simply a notebook on what you've learned.

It doesn't need to be fancy. Use pencil and paper if you want to get real basic. The idea is to preserve and refine your thoughts and to craft a guide for future action. It is an after action report for yourself; a "This is what happened  and this is what I learned and this is what I'll do in the future" report.

Try it. I think you'll like it.
