Advancements in Time-Wasting
I sometimes think of how long it would have taken Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and their contemporaries to accomplish certain tasks and how they would marvel at the technology that permits us to breeze through those same chores.
On the other hand, they benefited from fewer distractions, regarded letters as treasures, were not awash in a sea of worthless information, and didn't squander time by staring at text-messages.
