Cynic


"They said they loved it."
"That means nothing."
"What do you mean? It means they liked it."
"Notice how you just modified the meaning. You said they loved it and now you're saying they liked it."
"Well, at least it means they didn't hate it."
"I didn't say they hated it. I said the fact that they said they loved it means nothing."
"So you're saying that when they say they love something, it's as if they just said something to fill the air, like wishing someone a 'Good morning.'"
"No. They probably mean "Good morning.'"
