My wife has been eating gluten-free for a couple of years. Doctors and tests did not confirm celiac disease, but she feels significantly better off of wheat. For me, during my sugar-free summer experiment phase, I had also virtually eliminated wheat flours/gluten over the same time frame. The times when I had pizza or a regular biscuit, I felt bloated and a little sick. Without sugars and gluten, I feel and perform significantly better. Based on personal experiences of dropping weight and feeling better, I would tend to believe the claims of the book.

Dr. Davis's program has helped me kick 30 pounds from my gut and given me the energy I need to get through the day. I'm glad he presented his program in the context of a weight loss approach. Being on the NY Times Best Seller list get's your work noticed by the public. I first learned about Dr. Davis from his previous book where he looks at wheat from the context of heart health, a subject that most people don't work about until they have their first heart attack.

I'm glad to have learned of Davis's program three years ago. It's made a big difference in the quality of my life.
