Ever look into the Precisionist movement around the turn of the 20th century? The paintings reminded me a bit of Charles Sheeler, although he was a bit more stark. And also look at Alfred Stieglitz and his urban landscapes.

Campbell-Cooper doesn't seem directly connected to the movement - but I wonder if there was an influence....

I'm not familiar with Sheeler but am aware of Stieglitz. I don't know if there was an influence.
