In response to the e-mail asking what the person thought of a proposal came a single-word reply:
"Fine."
Which could mean:
It looks great.
Do whatever you want because I don't care.
Do whatever you want because I know you're not seriously seeking my opinion.
It's okay.
It meets minimal standards.
I'm really busy and don't have time to consider the matter.
I'll go with whatever you propose.
