Movie Recommendation

Since the tech changes kept me from posting this weekend, I had the chance to watch the DVD of The Lives of Others, the extraordinary film written and directed by Florian Henkel Von Donnersmarck.

The movie, which won the Academy Award for the Best Foreign Language Film, is about an East German secret police officer who is assigned to listen in on the conversations of a writer.

Absolutely riveting.

I'll second that opinion - excellent movie.
Try also The Good German with George Clooney. Unusual movie for him but a fascinating story.

Thanks, Jeff. I'll check it out. Read the book but missed the movie and the previews looked very good.
