A Basic Phone

The phone on my desk in my study at home is acting up. I decided to look for a replacement. This old phone had a bunch of doodads. I just want a basic phone. Nothing extraordinary. I'd even go for a dial version. Black will be fine.

I know there are plenty of Internet sites dedicated to phones, but I thought, in my innocence, that I'd be able to find one nearby and save the shipping time. Make a quick run. Get a phone. Head on back and plug it in.

So I started clicking. After perusing the offerings of several chain stores and sometimes finding something close to but not quite the phone of my dreams in the novelty section, I have concluded that this chore just might be a bit more complicated than I anticipated.

Basic phone. Black. Only one line.

In the continuing quest for convenience, we've made things...well...complicated... :)
