Creating Offense
Let's not simply regard what they said. Let's parse and stretch their utterances so the realm of the objectionable is reached and then treat the remarks as if they originated in that swamp. Let's recollect others who have made undeniably offensive comments and drape them around the necks of our victims so the weight of the clearly guilty will pull down the possibly guilty. And is not everyone - excluding ourselves, of course - possibly guilty? A suspicious audience will always wonder and that group is fallow ground, awaiting our objective observations.
