If an organization is too kind and less demanding, will it foster dependency and weakness? Will its leaders drift into a form of hubris? Will they believe that because they are so thoughtful and accommodating, any dissent is a gross act of ingratitude and that if they decide something is correct, then it most certainly is correct? Will their smothering with affection begin to smother thought and independence? Will they become too smug and will conflict, however slight, be driven underground? Will aggression become passive? Will kindness turn into a weapon? Will the recipients feel trapped?
