With the release of his new book, former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has been discussing presidential leadership and defense issues.
I can't think of a time when similar remarks have been made by a former Secretary of Defense. [Panetta was a key figure in turning around the Clinton White House when he served as Chief of Staff. He also served as CIA Director in the Obama administration.]
I checked the ABC News site on Friday and saw nothing on the story. Amazing.
