Up before five. Let the dog out. Brewed some Earl Grey tea. [Last packet. Who else has been drinking it?] Let the dog in. She wandered back to bed. Heard the clunk on my driveway. Got the newspapers. Took the first section of The Wall Street Journal to my wife who by now was reading a book in bed. Made some bacon. Made breakfast for the dog. Read a bit of The Commissariat of Enlightenment by Ken Kalfus. Took the dog outside and had to distract her so a lizard could make its escape. Cut up branches blown down by a recent storm. Mowed the back yard.
Saturday morning. More to do.
