Avoiding the Toxic



Christine Porath at Harvard Business Review on "How to Avoid Hiring a Toxic Employee."

Getting input from the person's former co-workers can be invaluable. I always suggest that all individuals who are interviewed be asked to bring their last three performance evaluations to the interview. Those should not be regarded as holy writ but they can be revealing.
