Quote of the Day

But here is a funny thing. Democracy has not crumbled into anarchy or ossified into a tyranny of the majority, as its enemies expected and as many of its friends feared. Capitalism has not been its own executioner, as Marx predicted it would be. And the intellectual regime built on boundless, centerless criticism has not destroyed itself or degenerated into babble. In its very strangeness, its messiness, and its amorphous vastness lies its redemption.

The jury might still be out on Marx's prediction!
