Ramsey Lewis was a fav of my dad's he heard him in Memphis in the 60s while he was at UT pharmacy school. "The In Crowd" was his favorite.
When my father went thru chemo in the early 90s, I dug up a recording and made him some mix tapes of Ramsey to listen to while he (dad) was getting the treatments. Hopefully it made a horrible situation a little more bearable.
Tomorrow (5/15) is my dad's 66th birthday. He is in remission and alive and well.
