The Last Vicar
This clip from Smiley's Peopleshows why so many of us were fans of Alec Guinness as spymaster George Smiley. Perfect casting.

Reminds me of my days at NATO. I worked in passing with a Brit in the office next to the front office a lot like Oliver. Even the furniture looks the same.
Love the series, though. Le Carre did a great job on those stories. He got a little crazy in later years (for me, an American cousin), but still very good.
I was a major Le Carre fan in his early years before he slipped into moral equivalence and anti-Americanism. This clip is nudging me to re-read his earlier novels.
