- Someone will fail to get the message.
- No matter how many deadlines you set, there will be delays.

- The things that you think are of obvious importance are the ones to doublecheck.

- It won't take long to learn about your assumptions.
- There will be surprises.
- People get tired. This includes you.
- Keep an eye out for opportunities to exploit.
- Be wary of the simple. [Another maxim: "The short-cut is always mined."]
