Comments to Put You on Edge

"The CEO would like to sit in on your staff meeting."

"There was a decimal mistake while calculating the last report."

"Since we arrived late, Ed decided to wing the presentation."

"We heard a funny thing about our prime contact. He is now working for one of our competitors."

"You know that option that you described as 'amoral?' Mary thought you meant 'moral.'"

"I'm aware that it was supposed to be temporary, but since you've done such a good job...."

The CEO in the staff meeting I reckon that is an exciting opportunity, rather than a stressful one.

Hummm mistakes happen, good reason to have a checking/review process

That could be a relief especially if Ed knew his stuff.

It's always a good idea not to have your eggs in one basket, only one person isn't a perfect scenario, always be on the look out for options, it is easy to live in a fish bowl. That's one reason why it is good to cultivate friendly and cordial relationships with the support staff of key players, since if they leave you have left an easy path to the new.

The temporary job that too could be equally advantageous, since it could go either way depending on the role, if it was up, now would be a good time to discuss remuneration.
