Erica Johnson, office tech wizard and consulting coordinator, extricated my e-mail system from the 19th Century today and turned me into an Outlook person.
It feels good. The old system was cumbersome and evil. It had a bad habit of letting you write a lengthy message and then announcing, without any prior warning, that the message was dead, nada, gone, eradicated.
For that alone, it deserved no loyalty.
Anyway, lately I’ve been working on a system to reform my paperwork system. Many of my documents lurk in email. Left alone, they create stress every time I have to track a paper. Now, I’m in full Attila mode, deleting and merging files.
My email in-box is empty every night and I’m chopping down the files to a manageable few.
And once everything is in order, I’ll keep on it.
Honest. The alternative is too horrible to contemplate.
