Absolut Bad Move

It always amazes me when an advertising firm makes an elementary mistake.

Did they really believe that this ad wouldn't reach the United States?

My assumption was that since they were using English copy, they were deliberately being controversial and hoping to get some US coverage. Maybe I'm just too cynical though.

I wondered about that too but Absolut is hardly some unknown. Why have an ad that will cause you to lose business?
