The inner child can operate by feelings.The inner adult must reason things out and use the lessons of experience.
The inner child celebrates spontaneity. The inner adult bears scars from some of those celebrations.
The inner child loves surprises. The inner adult is wary of them.
Can each learn from the other? Absolutely.
But it helps to have an inner adult in the room.
